"I joined AMC in 2016 as a Payroll Assistant, eager to grow beyond my background in customer service. What started as a leap of faith quickly turned into a fulfilling career journey I never expected—especially as I found my true path in accounting. With encouragement and mentorship from our company founder and one of our accounting leaders who saw potential in me before I did, I transitioned through several roles including Internal Auditor and AP Assistant, and now serve as a Senior Accountant – Supervisor. One pivotal moment was when our founder urged me to give the accounting team a try. That decision changed everything.

AMC has consistently supported my growth by offering opportunities to advance and learn. I’ve developed not just technical skills, like streamlining payroll processes that once took a full day down to a few hours, but also strategic thinking and adaptability. "I started at AMC in 2008 as our only paid intern and I’ve progressed to AP Specialist, Accountant, Senior Accountant, Mentor, and now Senior Accountant Supervisor and Bank Rec Trainer. Watching AMC’s growth over the years has been incredible, but the real turning point for me was the unwavering support I received from my supervisor during a deeply difficult time in my life. Her compassion and strength truly shaped my path. AMC has always known when to push me outside my comfort zone just enough to help me grow, and I’m grateful for the mentorship I’ve received here. Now, one of the most fulfilling parts of my job is mentoring others and watching them flourish.

"I began my journey with AMC in 2010 as a part-time Leasing Agent, drawn in by the company’s reputation for supporting its people and creating real opportunities for growth. In 2016 I returned as a Property Manager, and steadily progressed to my current role as a Regional Property Manager. What surprised me most was just how many doors opened by simply working hard and staying focused.

AMC has played a huge role in shaping me into a strategic leader who can manage multiple teams, navigate challenges, and stay solution-focused even in high-pressure situations. One achievement I am most proud of is leading a student housing property through successful year-after-year performance. It wasn’t easy; I poured my energy into building a strong team, improving communication, and putting systems in place to help us stay organized and efficient. Watching our performance improve year over year through teamwork and resilience is why I love this work.

"I joined AMC in 2016 as a Leasing Agent and since then, my journey has taken me through several positions including Assistant Property Manager, Property Manager, and Assistant Operations Manager before stepping into my current role as Training Director. I briefly left AMC, but I returned because I wanted to be part of AMC’s corporate team and directly support our on-site associates. My motivation comes from being a trusted resource for associates and seeing their appreciation when they feel empowered to succeed.

"After joining AMC in 2013 and progressing through several roles on the property management side, I briefly left but quickly returned as an Assistant Operations Manager. I realized my passions lied in creating structure, improving efficiencies, and supporting teams, and this new role allowed me to have company-wide impact along these dimensions. Transitioning from property-level management into operations was a pivotal moment and opened the doors to the work I find most rewarding today.

"My AMC journey started in 2006 when I joined as a Property Manager, and I went from managing a single community to relocating across the country and serving as Vice President of Operations for Florida and Georgia. I’ve grown in every role along the way thanks to supportive leaders and mentors; I even built a strong relationship with a long-time client which led to an opportunity to oversee a large portfolio. Each role has challenged me in new ways, especially transitioning into Affordable Housing which continues to fulfill me daily.

One of the most rewarding experiences of my career was leading a large market-to-tax-credit conversion, which involved full interior and exterior renovations. We completed it ahead of schedule, and I remained at that community for a decade. That spirit of trust, opportunity, and high standards is at the heart of AMC’s culture.
